Does SMP work for women?

Yes. SMP for women is primarily used as a density treatment — placing pigment impressions between existing follicles to reduce visible scalp contrast at the crown, part line, or temples. No shaving is required and the treatment works with whatever hairstyle you already have.

Do I have to shave my head for women's SMP?

No, not for density treatment, which is by far the most common application for women. The treatment is done with your existing hair in place. Shaving is only relevant for full scalp SMP, which is uncommon for women.

Can I still color my hair after SMP?

Yes. Hair coloring, highlighting, and other chemical treatments can continue normally once the SMP has settled. There are short-term restrictions for seven to ten days after each session, but no permanent restrictions on hair treatments.
